the baking fool…
Since what I do for a living is what most people do as a hobby, I started this blog to journal my hobby: baking…I am still quite a novice, so I’m determined to make lots of mistakes, and I hope they’re happy accidents! I am a freelance children’s illustrator now based in Illinois, but originally from Michigan. I’ve been getting paid to draw since 1991, jumping between staff positions and freelancing. I got my start in apparel, but I’ve had many opportunities illustrating educational books, magazines, character development, toys and social expressions. I still create textiles, quite a few actually, also tee graphics, appliques and embroideries in the childrenswear market… I have also been a member of the SCBWI for ten years (so join, it’s a wonderful group)! Most importantly, I’m a mom of a genius, and a genius who needs just a little help, they’re both my little teachers! I hope you enjoy the things I’ve created, hope you’re creating too!
